Our commitment to accuracy

Readers rely on Bet Scope Global for information about law, regulation, tax and companies in a sector where mistakes can matter. We work to get things right the first time, and when we get something wrong we fix it promptly and openly. We do not quietly change facts without telling readers.

How to report an error

If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, please email [corrections email] with:

You can also use [contact form URL]. Companies we have written about are welcome to use the same process.

How we respond

We aim to acknowledge every report within [X business days] and to complete our review within [X business days]. Complex issues, such as those needing legal or regulatory review, may take longer; we will tell you if so. An editor not involved in writing the original piece assesses each report against primary sources. If we decide no change is needed, we will explain why.

How changes are labelled

Depending on the nature of the change, we add one of the following notes to the article, showing the date of the change:

Correction and clarification notes appear at the top or bottom of the article [choose placement] and remain there permanently. Minor fixes to spelling, grammar or formatting that do not change meaning are made without a note. The “Last updated” date is changed whenever content is revised.

When we remove content

We prefer to correct rather than delete, because removing articles can undermine the public record. We will consider removing or unpublishing content only in limited cases, such as:

Removal decisions are made by [editor-in-chief or role]. Where an article is removed, we will, where legally possible, leave a short note explaining that it has been removed and why.

Record of significant corrections

We keep a public log of significant corrections, meaning corrections to material facts such as legal status, licensing, regulatory actions, figures or attributions. Each entry lists the date, the article, and a short description of the correction.
